PIONEERS OF ADVOCACY Sara Webster is Chair of the Criminal Law Section of the Bucks County Bar Association, which discusses developments in criminal law, local procedure, and strategy. Sara lectures for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers on sex offenses, DUI law and trial strategy. She sits on the Pennsylvania Sex Offender Management Team, the George School Drug and Alcohol Committee, and the Bucks County Audubon at the Honey Hollow Environmental Education Center. She is Past President of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. VOICES FOR JUSTICE Carol Shelly practices plaintiff's personal injury. Carol has secured recoveries in the millions of dollars for her clients, including a $4 million verdict, which was one of the fifty largest verdicts in Pennsylvania that year. She was President of the Bucks County Bar Association and has served as chair of its Civil Litigation Section. Carol is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates, former member of the Board of Governors for Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and frequent lecturer for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. ADOPTION COUNSELOR Samuel C. Totaro, Jr. is nationally known in the field of adoption law and has counseled more than 3,500 cases. Sam is past President of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and received both the Distinguished Service Award from the National Council on Adoption and the U.S. Congressional Angel in Adoption Award. He was lead counsel in a case in which the Pennsylvania Supreme Court established the right of adoptive parents to be compensated for the failure of adoption agencies to fully disclose all relevant information prior to adoption. Many Supreme Courts outside Pennsylvania have cited the decision. He frequently writes, lectures and is often a guest on nationwide television and radio shows.
