THOMAS E. MELLON, III, ESQUIRE


Thomas E. Mellon, III, practices all aspects of personal injury and commercial litigation, including mass tort, pharmaceutical drug product liability, class actions and medical malpractice matters.
 
Thomas is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. As part of his JD-MBA studies, Thomas attended graduate-level business and law classes at Oxford University in England. Thomas was awarded dual Bachelor of Arts degrees, with honors, in History and Government from Franklin & Marshall College.
 
Before joining MWS, Thomas concentrated in attorney malpractice defense in Philadelphia. Immediately after law and business schools, he remained in Washington, DC, and practiced complex antitrust and securities litigation.
 
Thomas has taught Continuing Legal Education courses to fellow attorneys on legal malpractice avoidance and professional responsibility. He remains active as an arbitrator and by assisting with pro bono cases through The Philadelphia Law Works, The Bucks County Bar Association and other legal aid organizations. Thomas served as a director of a local not-for-profit ambulance squad and continues to play a significant role in the Salvation Army and Bucks-Mont Katrina Relief Project efforts in Hancock County, Mississippi.
 
Thomas is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia and Bucks County Bar Associations, as well as The American Association for Justice (formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America). He is admitted to the bars of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
