Elissa Heinrichs joined Mellon Webster & Shelly as an Associate in 2006. She received her Bachelor in Arts degree from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts and graduated from the University of Texas School of Law. While at the University of Texas, she completed a legal internship with the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals with the Honorable Morris Overstreet. Elissa was a Texas Mock Trial Invitational Finalist and Best Advocate and was inducted into the nationally recognized Order of Barristers.
Following graduation, Elissa moved to New York City where she was Legislative Counsel to Assemblyman Vito J. Lopez (D-Brooklyn), managed the first election campaign of Councilwoman Diana Reyna (D-Brooklyn) to the New York City Council, served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Wayne Saitte in the Kings County Criminal Court and worked as Legislative Counsel for New York City Comptroller, William C. Thompson. Elissa returned to Pennsylvania in 2003 where [she] became a Bucks County Assistant District Attorney, trying numerous misdemeanor and felony bench and jury trials to verdict.
Elissa is admitted to the Bars of the Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania and New York. She is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, the Bucks County Bar Association and the Barristers Association of Philadelphia.
