Deborah A. Romanski joined the firm in May, 1988 and is now "of counsel" to the firm. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio Wesleyan University, majoring in speech, with a minor in economics; she graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Deborah graduated from John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois, in 1980.
She began her practice in Chicago concentrating on insurance defense litigation. In 1983, she joined White & Williams in Philadelphia where she continued her focus on defense litigation. Deborah has handled cases involving toxic torts, drug litigation, medical malpractice and other types of litigation. Since joining Mellon Webster & Shelly, she has represented plaintiffs in medical malpractice, personal injury and products liability cases.
Deborah currently devotes much of her time to alternative dispute resolution through mediation and arbitration. Her in-depth experience in both defense and plaintiff work gives her a balanced and centrist perspective.
Deborah has served as a volunteer mediator for Bucks County Mediation Services through The Peace Center and is a former steering committee member of the Center. She is a member of the Bucks County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Association for Conflict Resolution and the Association for Conflict Resolution-Greater Delaware Valley.
